new tank specs and question

hi from prissy!sometimes the printing acts up,but i,ll try to post this.i have 50gal.allglass tank.a little trouble getting ac300 to go on it but made it. hope i dont have to much current,i,m running it closed up as much asi can.what does every one think?thank you prissy

If you feel you're getting too much current, cut a piece of an AC300 sponge to fit completely over the intake tube. That will decrease the flow a bit.

morleyz:thank you for tip on filtration.sponge on filter intake. will not cut my capacity to filter too much?i do have a lot of current,tank is only 18"deep.thanks prissy.correction tank is 18"deep not 20"

I have an AC200 on a 35 gallon (about 18" deep) and there isn't that much current really. I don't think you want to slow the 300 too much unless your tank will be light-moderately stocked. If you plan on putting a lot of fish in I would suggest running at full capacity or possibly adding another filter.
