red tail shark

My red tail shark has started having trouble staying in the upright position. He keeps floating belly side up. I thoughr for sure he would be dead when I got home tonight,but he is frantically swimming around in circles and zig zags. Is there anything I can do to help him?

Unfortunately, probably not. Sounds like he is suffering from a swimbladder infection of some sort. It's a very difficult disease to treat successfully as it could be caused by any number of things.

Any chance he has been swimming in beer?

does sound like a swimbladder problem wich can be caused by a few diff things some of them being; constipation, bruising from fighting and poor water quality, it may get better on its own. but i am no expert on these things you might want to try a general antibiotic. good luck
