Wiring fan with 3 leads to adaptor with 2 leads?

I have a hood with fans that have a piercing fan. Thus need to replace the fans. I see some fans on EBay for aprox. $5 with free shipping. The have 3 leads. I will be splicing the wires into a DC adapter with 2 leads. What do I do with the 3rd, yellow, lead?
 
The yellow may just be a signal readout for a computer so you can tell how fast its spinning. You should be able to ignore it.
