How many fish?

HI
I'm new to fishkeeping and just wondering how many fish can i safley have in my 14 gal(70 ltrs) tank?
i'd like small fish like neons, glowlights and harliquins.

its UK Gallons and theres 5 ltrs to a gallon sorry i should have said

Different people have different ideas about stocking.

It's hard to say how many fish you should put in there without knowing what kind of fish you plan to stock. Some fish produce a larger bio-load than others, and thus there would need to be fewer of them. Do you have any idea what kind of fish you want to keep?
 
If you don't put in any other fish you could go with something like 16 neons or 12 glowlights, or 8 harlequins, with a few small shrimp for the bottom if desired.
You could cut those numbers in half and go with two groups but the tank is a bit cramped for more than one species.
This is assuming the tank is fully cycled.

yeah the tank is cycled, been set up for 3 months now
i got
6 neons
6 glowlights and a redtailed shark in there is this ok cos i've also got a 10 gal (uk) tank with 2 pregnant guppies in
