I set this up yesterday afternoon because I have:

3 Juncus Repens
2 Corkscrew Vals
2 Samolus

I currently have a 30" Compact Fluorescent 2x65 Watt Light (only 1 on right now).

I also have Flourish Excel Organic Carbon for the planted aquarium, and Flourish comprehensive supplement for the planted aquarium; these of which I do not use regularly.

I have a few questions:

The CO2 setup that I am using has been going for about 30 hours or so and still no bubbles, any ideas as to why or should I let it sit for a little longer?

Once the CO2 starts working properly can I turn on my second bulb?

Should I be using the flourish products regularly, as I said I only used them once last week, but should I start using them weekly, or monthly?

I appreciate any help. Thank you all :).

often they are expired before you even get to use it. what size is the tank? i would just make your own diy co2 vs buying and using the nutural plant system.

I have a 29G Tank right now that I have that put into. and DIY CO2, are you just referring to the concoction? aka sugar/water/yeast?

i wouldnt turn the other bulb on with out pressurized co2. the diy systems are small and wont make as much co2 as a 2 liter bottle.

Do you think that my plants will die without adding any CO2?
