So I'm down tonight, having trouble getting to sleep. So I came downstairs to get some sleep meds. Figure I'll check in with the Littles with a flashlight. Turn it on, and the just start jumping out of everywhere!! There are so many more than I thought. But some are newer, smaller. I check around for my females, and sure enough one is working on ungluing the eggs from her swimmerettes so they can go on out into the big bad world and try to make it on their own. I'm watching as she's kicking around. And oh how I would just love to stay up a while longer and see her actually free a brand new baby... but darn aren't those sleepy meds starting to go to work...

It's so beautiful. I can't even describe it. These little ones are photogenic and are drawn toward light and they don't even know why! I set the flashlight on top, and all these tiny, clear little baby shrimp start to just float up toward the light. It's like a reverse rain, and each little shrimplet is a raindrop...

See? I told you the sleep meds were starting to work... ;)

Worst part? There are some right there in front, easy to focus on... and the battery on my camera chose earlier tonight to die! And I didn't figure I'd need it before morning, so I didn't set it up to charge overnight. :wall:

well.. I guess I'll put some baby food in for the new kids on the block and then head back to bed now...
