Trimming plants or removing them

not that i know of. the only thing that i can think about thats close to that is maybe stirring up your substrate might do something
Well, if you take out enough plants at one time, you can affect your nitrate levels, and *maybe* your NH3 levels, since there isn't as much biomass in there using the nitrogen.
I've never really had issues with trimming, however.
