Hi! I'm once again trying to have natural plants in my aquarium and my plants' order was sent today and should arrive tomorrow. I ordered a few plants I've never had before and would like to know a few things about them:

1) How do you plant pennywort? A few stems together? Stems individually? Across the substrate? or just plant one part and let it go up?

2) How do you plant ludwigia repens? With stems in gorups or individually? How often should you do cuttings so the lower leaves don't fall off?

3) How do you plant Tiger Lotus, Red (Nymphaea zenkeri)? And most importantly, how do you make it stay below the surface? I've heard these babies go all the way to the surface but there is some way to make it stay beneath...HOW?

Sorry for all the questions but I would really appreciate all of you guys that can answer most of them. Thanks!!

Ludwigia repens should be planted individually. The only time you should cut is when the plant starts to overtake and crowd the tank. If its nice and full, healthy and needs a trim go ahead.

I've had more success with penny wort as a floating plant than a planted one.

Here is mine

It started a few weeks ago shooting leaves to the surface, like 2 daily!
Someone on here told me to cut the stems BEFORE they reach the surface in order to get a nice, bushy plant

The ones that are heading to the top are all furled up, where the others are just tiny leaves like the mother plant

Good luck with yours, they are just beautiful!!
