Anyone ever use one of those continuous gravel vacuums? They're like a siphon that's powered by a pump that sucks up the water and puts it right back into the tank so you can do extended vacuums without removing water.

I've been interested in them. Can't you do this with the Magnum 350's?

Yes, it does. I just bought a 10 gallon hex tank for $20 because it also came with one of these for free. I have another 350 in use already as a secondary filter. So I get to use this one now for thorough gravel and sand cleaning on all my other tanks... and extra water polishing whenever I need that.

i use a HOT Magnum filter to do that the model with the bio wheel attachment comes with a vac so you can clean your gravel and the water filters thru the hot magnum and goes back into the tank very handy and easy way to vac.

In my case, I wanted an extra I could clean out and use on different tanks in different rooms. No need to add a separate one for each tank that way.
