My friend has a 55 gal tank housing 4 discus and some tetras. She wants to know if she can move these into a 30 gal tank without problems.

4 full grown Discus in a 30 would be tight. How many inches are the Discus now?

No..considering the size they grow to...don't do it.

They might be fine for the time being.. but its not recommended at all because they are capable of getting as big as dinner plates

good call a 30 is way too small

A 30 is only big enough for a breeding pair. Never go smaller with discus, always bigger...
