Thank you :) We just finnished it last summer/fall. We have been enjoying it.

Me and my 16 YR old daughter have put it to good use. She now defeats her old man regularily (without any help). We got it off Craig's list for a steal last summer: a college kid home on summer break won it in a Wii ping pong tourneyment as first prize. Of course he didn't care for the real thing and he sold it to us... brand new, in the box, unopened.

Thank you. That thing leaked a few months after we put it in the wall  We almost didn't set it back up and seriously thought about patching the wall. I resiliconed it and put it back in service around Christmas time (glad we stuck with it).
Thanks again for all the kind words :)
Stunners ! The fish and the tanks - love the cyps.
Welcome to AC & see you in the rift lake forum :)

Sweet! You have really nice tanks and they are just the right size for your beautiful home. Some people get addicted to more and more tanks and then I think the beauty is lossed, especially if the rest of your home looks like a disaster.

Do you ever catch the Frontosa watching you play table tennis, turning their heads left and right, left and right? :)

Our games of ping pong are too intense for the frontosa to watch - it stress them out. They also root for my daughter too much :)

Here's some construction photos. I do most maint (water changes & filter cleanings) from the back side. I have a swinging hinge that allows access to the front/finished side and that is where I do my feedings and algae cleaning duties.

I have piano hinges on the left & right sides and a hinge in the middle that locks the access door in place.

I made a rollout section for the canister filter, on casters, so I can roll it out when it is time for a cleaning. I also use a HOB filter which is easy to maintain from the back side.
