Still Australia. Don't let indigenous Australians hear you say it was discovered by Cook. They'd already been here for 40,000years lol

Yep, dnali!
A young couple hired an Real estate agent to find them a very large house. They wanted 12 exterior doors & 52 windows, which were negotiable. They explained they wanted 8 bathrooms and 12 bedrooms, a formal dining and living room which all were also negotiable. The one thing they were adamant on was that the house had to have southern exposure on all four sides. The agent found them their house!
How?

The agent sold them a house situated on the North Pole. The local Inuit were impressed with the windows.

An umbrella.
3 guys rent a hotel room. it costs $30
Each guy puts in $10 to pay.
they go to the room.
The clerk realizes he over charged them for the room, it should have been only $25
He decides to refund them the $5
He realizes its too difficult to devide the $5 amongst the 3 guys, so he pockets $2, and gives each guy $1 back...
So now, each guy paid only $9 for the room..
3X $9= $27
Plus the $2 the clerk pocketed = $29.
Wheres the other $1?

The guys actually paid $28 for the room not $27.
25 + 3 =28
There is no answer to the way it was set up.

I agree, $30 payed initially - $2 kept means they gave him $28...

$30 minus $2(to the clerk) = $28 minus $3(to the 3 guys) = $25
That is a confusing riddle...lol. The guys did only pay $9 each...right? weird.
$30 - 3 = $27 the guys paid. The clerk kept $2. That leaves $25 ;)

however the answer is still no, dont ya just love percentages. that would be 90% of 10% remaining from the first 90%

That's an ancient mythology riddle from the Sphinx to Oedipus. The Sphinx would ask that riddle to any traveler entering (or leaving the city of Thebes) and when they got the answer wrong the Sphinx would devour them.
Oedipus answered the riddle and the Sphinx lept to its death.
The answer was "man."
