Is a 25watts lighting(1bulb only) enough for a planted tank? What rating should i use,4000K or the normal 5500K lights better for plants?

Thanks

it really depends on tank size to be honest, a 5 gallon would be fine with it but a 40 gallon not so much. also you want a high K rage so i would go for 5,500K or even better would be 6,500K

probably the general rule of thumb is you want about 1.5 watts per gallon for low light plants and over 2 watts per gallon with high light plants. it's by no means precise but it a decent rule to follow.

2 wpg isn't considered high light.

could be (it's on the boarder) 2 watts of T5 light could be considered high light while 2 watts of PC light isn't this is why it's not really a precise method of this
