Would this impact much or be a bad idea

I have a small wall of peacock moss and I was thinking of moving in front of the intake of a small canister filter (ZooMed 501). The moss is attached to some plastic mesh which would allow for some clearance in front of the intake. Curious to know if this would actually be a bad idea in that maybe it would be blocking the pick up?

it should be fine if you keep the back of the wall trimmed, so the moss doesn't grow into the filter

depends on how close. you will be blocking the flow of the intake which isnt a good idea.
