Wild plants

Have any of you had the pleasure to go abroad and actually find some of the plants we keep as hobbyists? Even dare to bring some back? I think it would be cool to visit a place like Bolivia and find many of the species of plants growing riverside. Please share your stories should you have any.

lots of them grow in the states too, so you could probably find some near your area. i'd love to go do something like that. this summer i'm planning to go check out some local lakes and ponds to see what i can find.

There is tons of anacharis in the the local river, lots and lots of it

just remember to qt your stuff before adding it to your tanks. never been my self but i know others who brought stuff back. there is plenty of plants out there that you can collect and put in the tanks. most little a little different since they are not fully grown submerged

i'd just try looking around and seeing what you find, then if you like it, pick it, bring it home and throw it in a qt then research it. that's my plan
