My plan is to set up a 38 gal tank with shrimp and tetras. i have had a 10 gal running with 2 female betas for about 2 months.mt tank has a under gravel filter and a external. i have 2 golf ball sized balls of java moss streched out.i i bought about a doz cherry shrimp my hope was to get a colony going while i take my time buying and setting up the larger tank.Am i on the right track i would love some advice. tx any suggestions on a bottem feeders that wont harm baby shrimp

In another month or 2, you could use some the media in your 10G to 'seed' your 38G - This will greatly increase the cycling time and minimize any spikes.

Cories gor great with shrimp.

Lastly, remember shrimp are quite suseptable to high levels of nitrAtes in addition to nitrItes and Ammonia. It is best to have an established tank first, before adding shrimp.
