I am trying to figure out what i want to stock my 29g with.I know i want an angelfish, but im not sure if it will be ok with community fish in a 29g. It is planted btw. What im thinking so far is:
1 angel
diamond tetras
bleeding heart tetras
? a bn pleco
I really don't know about the requirements of diamond or bleeding heart tetras i just saw a pic and thot they were pretty, so tell me what you think.

1) I like species tanks so I would vote for a large school/shoal of one type of fish (I'm thinking 20-30 african barbs) this is what I'm leaning towards in my next tank.. but it's your personal preference

2) I really like your quote (C.S. Lewis is great!)

3) Where in Missouri are you from? (Columbia here)

Update us when you make your final decisions!

To be more specific: African banded barb or Barbus fasciolatus (http://www.jjphoto.dk/fish_archive/aquarium/barbus_fasciolatus.htm)

Thanks, i live in Nixa (touches Springfield).
eh, im not really into barbs, idk why. but thanks for the suggestion :)
i googled max sizeds of the fish i posted and according to google, the bleeding heart tetras get 3 inches and the diamonds get 2.5 inches
im having second thoughts about them due to there size?

How tall is the tank? I was told a lot of 29 gallons aren't tall enough for angelfish. For my 29 gallon planted I think I'm doing:

6 danios (3 zebra, 3 Glofish)
6 cories (albino)
6 tetras (maybe black skirt maybe serpae)
1 dwarf gourami

If that helps any. :)

Careful not to intro neon tetras with angels or discuses.
This is just my suggestion
around 10 black neon tetras
2 angels/1 discus
few bunch of assorted corys

My 29 gallon is 18 inches high, I believe.

I think diamond tetras would look stunning in a planted tank with an angel.
LOVE that idea. I am also from Missouri, have driven to Springfield many times but never saw the diamond tetras (would have snatched those up)! Also, haven't seen much of a selection of plants. I wish you a lot of luck in your decision.

yes the tank is 18 inches high
how many diamonds and bleeding hearts each would be best with on angle in that tank?
