Trying to resist the betta...

The other day at Petsmart, I browsed through the Bettas just to see what was there. I never feel the urge to buy one, but this past time there was one like I had never seen before. It was a Crowntail that had an all-black body with mustard yellow accents on its fins...just stunning! :jaw-dropping: Looked like a designer betta, for sure.

I resisted buying him because I have no place to put him. I mean, I have a crappy 2g hex "starter tank", but I already have a 20g and a 10g set up in my tiny, tiny apartment (university housing). My girlfriend would throw a fit if I bought him and set up the 2g...

I'm sitting here just unable to get that betta out of my mind. He was just so cool. Should I go back?

full black bettas are very hard to find, so YES YES, get over there before anyone else gets him!

I won't be able to get his tank up and running until Thursday. If I went a bought him tomorrow, would he live in a tupperware with a screen on top until then?

I'm sure anything would be better that that cup (policy is twice weekly water changes and feeding). Go for it!

get it. a lot of betta owners do full water changes every week, so you wouldn't have to cycle the tank first if you did that.

Alright. I'll go back tomorrow afternoon when I get out of class and see if he's still there. If he is, I'll get him.

I ended up with both of my bettas from not being able to pass them up at petco. So I will join the "Go back and get him!" vote. Plus extra points for being a crowntail (my favorite) and for having yellow accents (my next betta will be yellow). :grinyes:
