Snails

Would it be possible to put a large snail in my Oscar and JD tank?

I have a apple snail and my oscars and jacks don't mind

I have about 12 columbian ramshorn snails in my 55 with a 7 inch jd and 5 inch convict. The fish dont bother them, and they are great at cleaning up the left over food. I have noticed a BIG difference in the amount of stuff that the gravel vac picks up.

I have heard that oscars will pick at the eye stalks of the apple snails eventually killing them, but I have never kept oscars. I know my Tanganyikans did and my discus did.

I put a snail in the tank and it looks like it may not work out. It stays in its shell and the Oscar enjoys carrying it around in his mouth.
