I posted some pics of my butterflyfish on here a fair while ago, I had cyano issues then but now it is gone and the tank looks a lot better so I thought I'd post some new pics.

Its a low tech tank, hang on octopus skimmer, glass heater in the skimmers' spare chamber, 5000lph (1300gph) powerhead and 4x36w power compact lighting. I have a computer fan to stop the lights heating up the water, a DIY hood to stop jumpers and a DIY LED moonlight. No sump. Marine doesn't need to be real techy or fancy to work, just thought and planning needs to go in.

Love the macro algae, its like a little in tank forest. Absorbs nutrients too.

Fish inhabitants. Blenny I caught myself, Pink Skunk Clown and the 3 Butterflyfish. The photo of the clown was taken when there was still a bit of cyano remaining.

Blenny is named Dot (Dorothy), Clown is Betty (going to get her an Al soon), and the Butterflys from top down are Salvador, Morse and Pyro. I am a naming tragic.

Nice party you got going on there. What kind of macro is that? Does it stick to the rocks?

Thanks.
Its Caulerpa peltata.
It does stick to the rocks, it has 'grippy' little root like things that firmly attach it to the rocks. In my other tank it likes to grow on the sand aswell. I took a tiny piece of it from my other tank and put it into this tank, I just held it down for a few days with a little piece of rock so it could attach then removed the rock. It took of like mad, all that is one months growth. Easy to remove too if I need to.

Very nice...an alternative to coral in a small kind of way I guess you can say. Do you think any angels or tangs would eat it?

I'm pretty sure tangs will eat it, not sure how readily though compared with other caulerpa species.
Don't know about angels, I guess if they eat other caulerpa's they'll eat this one.
Its bright green colour is the main reason I like it, and the discs look nice too. I'm planning on adding a bunch more softies, xenia etc, the butterflies don't bother them. Only the Bubble Coral and Sun Coral survived their coral munching wrath, others had to be moved out and quick. When I hand feed them I can feel their sharp little teeth, corals don't stand a chance when they move in :).
