Hi guys!

I have fabricated a styrofoam background, with shelves and used "Great Stuff" foam to seal the edges to keep the Styrofoam from beading off the shelves and, give a more 3D appearance. My question is; How do I make the surface suitable for Epiphytic Plants?

Yea I was looking at cork bark... it is a little on the expensive side wouldn't you say?

Ehh....it can be. It just depends on where you buy it from. It's not cheap at most pet stores but you can get some pretty good deals on it at reptile shows.

The tank I need the background for is a 15g High, which means I would need the 20g Pre-cut sheets... Does Coco Fiber matting come in colors other than tan?

Lol! It would figure that my tank is 15" X 20" So I would need the largest size @ $25.00+S&H!

well 2 cans of great stuff, thats 8 bucks, then 3 tubes of silicone thats another 8, and the cocobedding is about 8, thats $24 to make what you have, cork bark isn't that bad, next time i do a tank ill prolly do 3 walls of cork, the greatstuff method is cool, but messy, and gets covered by plants and you can't even see it.

I just went out and got tree fern logs ,cut them in half ,and glued them to the back wall.

Thanks for the advice guys!
