... from the Amazon basin? Something I can attach to driftwood and such to give that mossy look would be great. Any and all ideas appreciated!

I agree with jpappy.

not much else for the mossy look besides moss and riccia. You might try pellia. Its a liverwort, not sure if its native to the amazon though.

How convenient, then, that I just ordered a bit of riccia from MG a day or two ago! LOL! I was planning that for trying to grow as a foreground in my South East Asia, but hey... I'm flexible!

Willow moss is from the SE U.S.

Taiwan moss from SE asia, but I can't find an exact origin for flame moss...
