I am selling 4 tanks, this is my add, am I asking to much? I have had only 1 person reply, then they never wrote back.......???????

35$
I just got these tanks, Don't have time to clean and set up as I had wanted. 2 of them need cleaning (hard water) The 5 comes with river rock gravel, and 2 male sailfin mollies, and whisper filter hood, and light bulb(need replacing). One of the tens has red gravel, and attached backdrop. (looks really nice) the 29, and other 10 need to be scrubbed. All of them hold water. Cash and carry only, (((Must take all))))) Aquariums can also be used for rodents and spiders 35$

The ad is okay and it's a nice price. (I would take them.) You'll still have trouble selling these because you're insisting on the buyer taking all of them. Most people don't want that many or don't have room for them. Of the few people who DO want multiple tanks, they might want some of them but not the others. Those people would already have specific uses in mind that these may not fit in with.

If you spend 30 minutes cleaning the glass with vinegar and drop the lines about how hard it's going to be scrubbing them clean, you'll get better responses, too. Use straight vinegar in a spray bottle, repeat that a few times to keep the glass wet for 5-10 minutes.. and all the hard buildup will dissolve. You can just wipe it away then... it's real easy. Take them outside and hose them down well. Most buyers aren't going to know how to do this, plus your ad makes this sound like a complete hassle. You lose a lot of potential buyers. (They're just as lazy as we are. lol.)

One more suggestion. Sell them separately in three different ads at a $1 per gallon - one for the 29, one for the two 10s, and one for the small one. Not only will you get a few extra dollars for them, but they'll be sold within 3-5 days, tops.

Oh, Wow, male sailfin mollies get huge, if you're looking to get rid of them I would only offer them with the 29.

You might consider separating the tanks in to different listings, or individually pricing each tank. Perhaps people are looking for a 10 gallon, for instance, but don't want to buy every tank. You could start off with 1$ per gallon or each tank, and then lower the prices if no one bites.

BTW--there's a lot of past posts on here about how to clean up used tanks and get rid of hard water crud. Maybe if the tanks were sparkling more people would like to buy them.

LOL.. Wicked minds think alike, Ash.

Heck NO!!

one thing that springs to my mind as a potential tank-buyer is if you just got them and you haven't had the time to set them up, how do you *know* they hold water?
