How big is the tank? How old do they claim they are?
They don't appear to have a well rounded shape to me.

They look to be 2-3 inches, and does in fact look a little stunted.

i have emailed him asking how long he has had them. i havent heard back yet. i thought the two in the first picture appear to be ok it was more of the other two(seemingly smaller two) that i was worried of.

oh the tank is a 55 gallon tank.
next question.
how much would you guys pay for this setup. the filters are a AC70 and a penguin 150 with bio-wheel. the lighting i think is a retrofit or diy 3 bulb fluorescent that is 120 total watts. the heater apears to be a stealth. the fish are the discus in question, 2 clown loaches, a small school of tetra that you can see in one of the pictures and a clown pleco.
it also includes all the plants and driftwood and some food and chemicals etc. i think they are asking a decent price just curious what you guys think.

another question, what is the best way to move plants, is it best to wrap them in wet newspaper or do they need to be submerged completely?

Plants won`t die ,not a problem. The Discus are lower quality, look stunted, starter discus, not really worth more than $10. each.

The Discus are stunted. They were probably stunted then. the best way to tell is the size of the eye it should to as close to 1:7 of the size of the head. shape should be closer to round than football shape.
That being said those fish will never get to dinner plate size but proper care and given a high protein diet they will get bigger than they are now. They could make you happy. their life span will be shorter than a quote normal discus.
Prices range greatly depending on your location

I can't help you with what a fair price would be for the setup. It looks nice.
For the plants, if you have one of those tall painter buckets like walmart and home depot sell, I'd submerge them in water and transport them that way. They'd be ok for a few days in there until you get things set up. If you wrap them in wet newspaper, that'll work too, just don't leave them wrapped in darkness too long.
The discus are not high quality, they do look to be stunted, but even stunted discus can still continue to put some growth on with excellent food and water. They appear to have clear fins and not ragged which would indicate they've not been kept in degrading water. They are not juveniles, they have their adult colors so I would guess that they are at least a year old.
If you decide to get the setup, remember to keep the discus warm during transport.
