I purchased one of these for my freshwater tank and decided to try one with saltwater.. Got home stood there for a few minutes wondering what I could feed them.. I've read kelp and seaweeds(pretty sure) but I'm not sure if that would benefit any of my fish.. My tank consists of 4 damsels 2 yellow clown gobies 1 scooter. 1 cleaner shrimp some snails.

What would be beneficial food for these fish? I have tried abit of cucumber rinsed etc.. The damsels picked at it and the cleaner shrimp would pick at it if he was going passed it or did his regular cleaning of the clip :) It has been in there for a few weeks and so far I've only put a piece of cucumber in there maybe once or twice a week.. take it out at around 20hours or
so..

I feed my fish mixed brands of flakes, brineshrimp, mysis(i think thats it), I only feed them once a day. and I alternate on pieces or cutoffs from the brineshrimp and flakes..

Also how often should I be putting food in the clip once I have it sorted?

I think only your snails are Veggie eaters although the others might pick at it. The veggie clip is more of fishes like Tangs whose main diet is algae.

I agree with thincat. I wouldn't worry about it as you have no real alage eaters. Although you could try using it to hold a piece of mussel as a treat every now and then. I use mine for my lawnmower blenny, Lamarcks angel and yellow tang. Saying that the rest of my fish do have a go at it, especially my chromis!
