Hey All,

I currently have my 55 gallon setup (Freshwater) and I just picked up a 10 gallon yesterday because I had an extra stand kicking around. I now have my 5 gallon thats empty. My thought was to place it in my bedroom and put something in it, but I need some ideas.

I was thinking something along the lines of some really small plants, with a sand substrate and maybe a couple small fish or something. Not sure yet. I'll post a few pictures of the tank after work today.

Thanks,
-Alex

Inverts! Loads of shrimp and a few snails would be cool. O small tetras in a group of five or six.

Cool. I need something that is going to be realitively easy to maintain. I can't really put a bigger tank in my room other then the 5 gallon. My 55 and 10 are currently in my basement. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with the 10 yet, I think it's going to be used as an "hospital" tank. My dad used to have a "hospital" tank years ago when we had fish in our previous house. But I may plant something it, not sure yet.

What would you recommend for plants in the 5 gallon?

Cabomba if you are keeping shrimp, mine love to climb all over it. Vallis? I keep amazon swords in mine, but it depends how quick they will grow for you.

Boring stocking I know but how about a nice halfmoon betta and some shrimp? :D If you add lots and lots of plants you can create a super cool mini forest and maybe you can add a small school of tetras.
