My pair of GBRs just laid their second batch of eggs yesterday afternoon and I'm wondering if I should leave the eggs in the 55gal community tank they're in now or take them out.

The last batch were eaten...but I'm not sure if it was by the parents or other fish. The other tankmates are 6 neons and 4 cories...and the tank has plenty of cover. I have a 10 gallon on hand I could set up in a jiffy and put the spawning site in...

So...do you think I should leave the little family in the 55gal and see what happens, remove the parents and the eggs, or just remove the eggs?

Thanks in advance as I've never bred GBRs before so I'm a little anxious!

You can leave them. Sometimes the parents will eat the first batch of eggs, especially if they are unfertilized so they don't end up with fungus. They will eventually learn how to be successful parents. Tetras and corys will stumble upon eggs too, but aren't a huge threat IMO.

WHAT HE SAiD^^^

leave em, could b the parents due to just the activity in the tank. they will eat the eggs if they feel they cant guard them sometimes. its better to have their own breeding tank
