A local aquarist posted a Craigslist ad offering free MTS. I asked him for 15-20, and when I got there he had about 50 of them in a cup for me :)

To return the favor, I told him I'd be bringing him a few things later this week.

I plan to give him good sized starter portions of Java Moss, Najas Guadulapensis (Guppy Grass), a small Java Fern, and a few Red Cherry Shrimp.

He just moved to this area from about a 100 miles away, and I thought he'd appreciate some new stuff.

I love sharing :)
 
My dad's aquarium has a ton of these guys and they reproduce like mad.
 
I love MTS! I got some from my brother-in-law and they're awesome.
 
If he's using them for feeders, then maybe he did get a favor...
 
I'm careful not to overfeed, so I don't think I'll have a MTS population explosion. And I'm sure that the MTS will do more positive things for the tank than the pond snails I have in there now.
 
i like mts. i have millions of them but i still like them
 
They are very neat creatures. :D
