Hi all. I have a 55g that I would like to set up as a fowlr. I have read a bunch on this forum and elsewhere on fowlr set-ups. My questions are as follows:

Does anyone have this skimmer? If so, opinions?

With this skimmer, other than an ample supply of live rock of course, would I need any other filtration? (due to finances and space/weight issues, I'm trying to avoid a sump system)

The manufacturer rates this HOB skimmer for up to 135g tanks. Realistically, what would be the largest tank that this skimmer would filter, with only the skimmer and live rock?

I have been looking at Aqua C Remoras and the Octopus brand because they seem to be well liked both on this forum and elsewhere. I decided on this particular model because of the price. I found it for $109.99 with free shipping. Good deal?

My goal is to set up the 55g as a fowlr now and hopefully in the future use its contents as part (probably most) of the set-up on a larger tank, maybe a 90-135.

Thank you all very much for you thoughts and opinions.

No one has this skimmer? No opinions or advice?

I went with the AquaC Ramora and it works right out of the box. I did set the skimmer cup with the adjustment band at the slowest point.

What model? Tank size?

Thanks for the info. Not a bad price. \

Anyone have any experience with the Octopus DBH 300?
