Anubias with melted rhizome... still strong?

This guy doesn't seem to know when to die.
I have no idea where the actual live plant is.

It's even got green roots coming from the melted bit.. how is it possible?

haha, anubias take their time in all aspects of life.

I had an anubias that had a brown center in the rhizome. I tried cutting off the squishy part but it wasn't until I got rid off all the brown that it quit melting & got healthy.

That sucker has been that way for months. I just haven't touched it for fear it will die :\ It's happened to me before.
