Thought I'd share...Oahu

So, The other day, I was driving down Kunia Rd, And it had just stopped raining about 5min before, The view was AWESOME! SO I thought id share a tad bit of Oahu with everyone....(Over the mountains, is the ocean, At the end of the road in the other pic, is Ewa Beach, and more ocean, The others are just prettiness along the drive. The trees in on base....)

Yeah, I was still stepping around some snow piles while walking my dog this morning, but it's starting to warm up nicely. High's in the 40's!

I shop on base, so milk is about 4$, and eggs are 99c, off base milk is about 6-7$ and eggs are about 3?

I grew up in So-Cal, so it really is not much of a price difference at all......

WOW! What a flashback! I was stationed at Schofield Barracks from 1984-1986. GOOD TIMES! Well, more good times off base than on. I was with the 25th S&T Battalion, and was the PSNCO for the Battalion. How do you like it over there? I admit, I didn't appreciate it as much as I would now...I am a lot older now and a lot more settled down. LOL!

Breeze how far are you from Ehukai (pipe), waimea, sunset beach? Can you throw up some pics of the ocean with some huge winter swells?

Yeah, I am about 15 from The north shore! Go there often, what parts do you want to see? Haleiwa has the biggest waves right now, I am going there probably Friday, Waimea is nicest, as far as views, but way to may rocks, come out of there bleeding! And sunset is killer, lots of house right on the beach. I mostly just pull of the Kam Hwy into the fields, run across the street and sit on a unnamed beach. (if you put Oahu into google search, you will see where schofield barracks are (middle of island almost) It only take MAYBE 1 hour to drive from the North Shore down to the Waikiki! Here are some pics of K-Bay in the meanwhile.......(Kaneohe)
