what's this film on the top of my tank

there is this brown lookin film on the water on the top of my tank and was wondering should i get it out with my net? I have a protein skimmer and fluval 305 but this film is there. Is there any ideas?

Sounds like you have a lack of surface agitation / filtration...If you skimmer working correctly??

sounds like u dont have enough water movement.... how much movement do you have in there?

I have 2 koralia #2 and the foam cup on my skimmer is collecting.

I would start to play with the flow, get more flow aimed at the water surface...
