:mad2:. You heard right. He ate 2 more algae eaters. I finally moved all of them out and put a plecostomus in there. I'm extremely disappointed in myself for not doing it before:(. I know never to do this again. We all live and learn. Right?

yeah, algae eaters are quite a delicacy to oscars,,they enjoy chineese food :)

If you got a good size pleco..... and give him a great cave to hide in that oscar can't get in they will get along for years to come.

Tho, at our house...oscar (aka wimpy) 10 female guppies (I wont list their names), 2 snails ( Stella and Doro) and 1 pleco ( Baby) ((hey i didnt name them)) live quite happily together :|

Guppies and Oscars do not generally go together in the same sentence unless the word food is in there as well. I didn't think guppies were fast enough to evade an Oscar?

We do indeed - its safer to presume that if Fish A can fit Fish B into its mouth, it is only a matter of time before Fish B gets a tour of the inner workings of Fish A.

You keep Guppies with and Oscar? Or are they for feeder purposes?

Good description! I have on Oscar that loves to give tours on his "inner workings" to anything that happens to be placed, fall into, or otherwise find a way into his tank(90 gallon) and the only 2 he hasn't offered a tour to is a pink convict and a pleco that is the same size as he is.

On the other end of the spectrum, I have another one(100 gallon) that offers tank tours and shares friendship and food to anything else in his tank except snails. Unfortunately, he wouldn't even eat the convict fry in his tank and made me give them to convict 1 or find a home for them!
