So I dont have many choices in the local fish stores in vermont. I travel to west lebanon new hampshire and burlington vermont to see what the lfs there look like that use to be great. both of the places I use to love look absolutely terrible. I would shut them down now as most of the fish were dead and had ich. I just dont get it, its so depressing.
Makes me want to start my own fish store.
I cant believe the prices of the fish either. The only fish I wanted looked semi ok and they wanted 14.99 per sterbai cory, 6.99 for tiny tiny cardinal tetras, and 12.99 for blue rams. :headshake2:

So while I was in the local walmart I decided to see what the tank section looked like....... guess what....the tanks where old and crappy but the fish looked excellent and the plants were amazing. I bought three large potted HC, a very large bush of reopens, and 2 blue rams in great condition for 20 bucks!!!!! 20 dollars:perv:

So I will be looking for deals on rare finds at the local walmart... never thought Id say that...and getting the rest from the local AC folks.

Wow, just goes to show some walmarts care about the fish, more depends on the workers.

HC in walmart? I think you made a spelling mistake.

Nope not a spelling mistake at all. They had both HM and HC at my walmart. I will show you what I bought with a picture. 2.94 each pot. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The plants come from a Florida nursery according to the stake in them. Also bought a pot of ludwigia, not sure which it is.

Dont mind the algae issues I am having, my co2 is on the way!!!! lol
