lol! How cute! Its actually not unusual for any breed to point. I've seen schnauzers, collies and great danes all point before. It is silly though! :)

Well, all of those are hunting/herding breeds, so I'd understand.
Year, she's a nut... She is not allowed to dig in the yard, but there is a small area we let her where muskrats burrow:

Our chow mix points all the time. Depending on who sees it, it's either "proper paw", or him throwing gang signs.

Looks as though she was focused on what she wanted, body stance can go either way. You leave her tied up out very often?

No way.. Wouldn't trust her outside alone anyway, and she's strangle herself.
that is an unfenced area she loves to play in, so I used a strong but light rope to allow her about 100' of free running in safety.
I would have to be an idiot to tie any dog up, it is way too dangerous... Even for a few minutes unsupervised.
