goldfish with plants?

Does anyone keep goldfish in a planted tank? If so, what kinds of plants? Do goldfish eat certain plants or disturb the substrate? Can you put stones over the roots of plants to keep them from disturbing them? Any planted tank advice for goldfish appreciated, even if it's "don't do it!".

Every plant I put in my aunts goldfish tank gets eaten within a week at most.

I keep goldfish with sword plants, crypts, anubias, banana plants, and java fern & moss.

I have anubias in my goldfish tank as I was told 'Oh they wont eat that' you wanna bet they are having a good try its looking quite nibbled at grr
