Poor guy. You got him here, didn't you? I had two of those gouramis, and both of them seemed totally healthy for a while, but then they each died suddenly, one about 4 months after the other. I remember wondering, after gourami #2 died, if the stock was bad, or if they had something genetic and progressive like tumors.
Is he still eating and swimming ok? Both of mine lost their appetites and grew noticeably lethargic about 36 hours before passing away.
Sounds like you're doing all you can!

Yeah, one died 2 days after I got them, and a week later this happened. I got them from "Pets Discount" I went back a few days ago, and they had so many dead fish rotting in their tanks. One tank had about 7 dead plecos all dead and covered in almost an inch of what looked like mold! I am never going back there. I was so pissed! So for here on out I will go to Mililani pets, I always get good fish from them. (I got my opal, blue for 99c each, 4 mini honey for 2$, Black Paradise for 3$, and angels for 4$ each, all still healthy, all getting huge! all there fish a SUPER cheap and healthy, and all their food and supplies are WAY cheaper too!)

It looks like a tumor to me as well. :(

Unfortunately, there isn't really anything you can do about it. As long as the fish doesn't appear to be in any distress, just leave it as it is. If it starts looking like the growth is affecting the quality of his life, you may have to make the decision of whether or not to euthanize. Sorry Breeze, I was really hoping to see this clear up, or at least not get any worse. :(

That's a real shame. Poor fish.

I am old school and in the past this has worked on many many things for me that it wasn't supposed to help. One last shot--methelene blue dip until the breathing gets labored--fingers crossed for your fish.

It is pretty difficult to see exactly what it looks like, lympho, open sore, etc?
Would you like to try more crude method since nothing had worked?
