Recommend a Sponge Filter?

Can anyone recommend a sponge filter for use in a 10gal, sand bottom that I want to keep shrimp in? I don't think I am having much luck with them in with the guppies.. I would like to move them into a tank of their own. also.. do they need a air stone in there? if the tank had lots of plants and this sponge filter, would that be enough for them to thrive?

As long as your room temperature does not fall cold during winter, then you won't need a heater. Sponge filter should be sufficient enough.
