we got our first two fish on saturday a pair of baby percula clowns one orange and one black. they were great after initially refusing to leave the exact spot where i put them in the tank, and after a couple of hours were all over the tank. today i have notice the black one is staying close to the top of the tank the whole time very rarely going any deeper than about 4 inches whilst the other is happily swimming all over the place. is this just that he likes the top of the tank or could there be anything wrong with him? he looks ok so im probably just being paranoid but no harm in checking....thanks

My clown still acts very strange to this day...
sometimes he swims vertically near the bubbles for hours-- I think hes sick and I put some food in and he immediately comes to life and is healthy... I think they are just strange fish lol

ha ha bless he's just tricking into getting more food then hanging out where he gets fed. i have read everywhere that they are funny little things but you can't help but worry when there so small. thanks ill rest a little easier.changing the subject somewhat i fed them last night with a small bit of frozen artemia and when i poured it in the tank it blew everywhere and one of the clowns just ran and hid...what a chicken! should i be turning off the powerheads for feeding or has he got to just man up next dinner time?

The only time i ever used to turn off water circulation was to target feed corals...Fact is, in the natural environment, the ocean does not stop so babys can feed...Let them get used too it, they will be fine...
