I am pretty sure I have amale and female ABN just looking for some other opinions. The first is what I believe to be the male because of the obvious red spot at the top of his head and the bristles the second is what I believe to be the female because there is no red spot or bristles. Am I correct?

Looks that way to me! Is the female as old as the male?

They might not like the pot, and might instead find a place in the driftwood to spawn. I used to have an albino pair in the discus tank that surprised me that way. You ought to able to see her abdomen swelling a bit with eggs as spawning approaches. I swore by heavy zucchini feedings for them to spawn and when I withheld it from them, they weren't spawning again 3 weeks later. I don't know if there's really anything to that, I just know it worked for me. On the otherhand, the albino pair that I had in the discus tank that I didn't even know were a pair because the male barely had two teeny bristles...managed to spawn secretly and I did nothing for them, they did not ever get zucchini in that tank. Patience on your part is probably all that is really needed. Good luck!!
