My angel fish, ever since I bought him, (a little less than three months ago), at times swims at a 60 degree angle (if 90 degrees is straight up an down). He appears healthy otherwise. He is iridescent and healthy looking, is growing like a weed - almost twice the size he was when I bought him). It seems though, that when he is resting or not actively swimming towards something, he sorts of slowly tips to 60 degrees.

Any guess as to why or if this indicates an illness?

So he can see above and below. They will also go delta wing to make a kill

Its normal. It scares the crap out of me too when my two angelfish do it.

I have had fan tails and vail tails.but My wild types rule.they are like fighter planes I have even seen them do victory rolls. You do want to watch and make sure they are not sliders they call them that when they slide into the bottom and just lay there

We have many that exhibit this behavior as well, no need to worry.
