Hello. I'm growing out a few different species of the geo family. They like soft, slightly acidic water.

I also have Java Fern and some Anubias growing in the tanks. The plants are doing well, as are the fish.

I recently bought some Kent Freshwater Plant Suppliment and have hesitated adding it to my tanks, as I don't want to mess with my fish.

Is it safe to use? Is it good to use? Is there something better?

I'd like to have my tank palted, but my fish are the important things to me. No offense, those of you that love your plants. I look forward to your reply. Thanks!

I've used the Kent line of fertilizers for a long time never had any problems with fish or fry. I have a ten gal fry tank that I use to raise fry from various fish that is planted and I supplement fertilizers for the plants even with fish younger than a week in the tank. I have since switched to the Seachem line and using some PMDD drops. Bottom line is I don't think you will have to worry about your fish. Your plants are pretty slow growing and if you have low to moderate light you probably wont have to fertilize that much Maybe try half the dosage recommended.
