what should I feed them? Are the few flakes I allow to reach the bottom of the tank enuff? or should I get some kind of sinking food?

FWIW, they enjoy blood worms that I give every other day...

Also are 2 enuff in the tank? or should I get a couple more?

i would get 4 to 6 more if you have the tank space

Definatley get at least 3 more. A minimum of 5 will keep them much happier and with a 55 gallon tank you will have no problem.

I would get a sinking food tablet and drop a couple of them in at least every other day for the cories. I drop in 1 tablet per 2 cories. There are complete tablets, shrimp tablets and sinking algae waffers. I have all three and mix them up to make sure the cories (and other bottom feeders) get a nice mixed diet.

Ok, I'll get a few more.. and do the sinking food as well... I was just just thinking about that today (I've had them for about a week) and wondering just how well they were eating... They would get a few flakes (not many) and some blood worms (they love them)... but I wasn't sure if that was enuff... Thanks!

A well balanced diet is a great idea for all fish. They will still eat lots of flakes as well.

I've got another question about them...

One has two pink eyes the other has 1 pink eye and 1 eye that is the same color as his skin...

Is it a birth defect? or is he/she sick? what could I do about it... they seem healthly and happy, all my other fish are ok, and water checks out perfect...

character from them as well - mine can't get enough of the hikari sinking algae wafers when i put them in for my sucker mouth fish - however i now feed them for everyone - also sinking shrimp pellets or crumbles are big hits
