I have another topic that I'm not sure about when it comes to Discus. I have a planted tank that used to have angels and loaches. I gave them to a friend so I could get back into discus. I haven't seen any snails for a long time....but tonight I see a bunch of little tiny guys. Do they pose a health risk to my discus?

I have plenty of pond and ramshorn snails in my discus tank.
There seems to be no issues.

The snails may likely be ramshorns, MTS or bladder snails but none will pose harm on your fish. What you don't want is overpopulation of snails if you're feeding a lot so just remove anything in sight or squish them and the discus will eat them. Free protein load.

Thanx, I wasn't sure. I will just pic them out as I see them.

We agree !!! Snails make a tasty treat ,be sure to crush so the Discus can eat them. Our Marble crays also love snail treats. We keep Marbles with our Discus in the main Display Tank
