Every time I turn on the news its just reports of how ugly humanity is. Like this morning, I get up, have my coffee turn on the TV and what do I hear???? Hum, a man stabs his 9 year old sister to death and then beheads his 4 year old sister?!?!?! WHAT THE :swear: IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE????? and the next story, 9 shot including children in a murder suicide. I cant believe how people are. Then a man kills elderly people in a nursing home!!!!! Then you switch to the shallow and empty headlines, who care what type of pizza actors and musicians like. Maybe I give a good darn if they were sharing that with the poor. All the headlines are ugly and so are the people involved! Then I start channel surfing, and whats on TV??? Nothing more than empty, vain, and totally useless people. Reality shows all about being as sleazy as you can be, and having NO self control, and the worse you are, the higher your chances are of winning. I don't know about you, but I have no hope left in humanity. Pain, grief, and ugly is all we have brought to the world. sorry for my rant, but I needed to take an emotional :swear:.

That's why I skip to the funnies... I think this mornings headlines where about 5 people being shot in a murder/suicide. Don't worry so much though, it's only the bad 1% of people that make the news usually.

Also, my TV isn't hooked up to anything but a dvd/vhs player... the fish tank gets watched more than the tv.

No news is good news.
And that's the world's truth.

I hate TV. I don't even watch it anymore.
Pain, murder, death, crisises (crisee?) everywhere...
Humanity is on the decline once again.

If you have young children those things get to you even more, I understand. In real life, I have to treat sex offenders... it doesn't get worse than that.
Just really make an effort to seek out the positive.

To be totally honest with you, when I see stories like the ones today, and I hear that the cops shot the suspect dead, I want to cheer. To be brutally honest with you, I would love to be the police officer who's bullet dropped a person how would do something that ugly to someone else! I just cant stand it.

how old was the "man" who has a sister age 9 and age 4? Sure that wasnt a teenager?

just wondering. Since it appears young people today dont understand death is forever; since they play all those games that allow you to re-incarnate a few minutes later.

Ok enogh of my psychological contemplation as to why a person would act on an impulse...that......

Avoiding television does not make the world a better place it just increases ignorance aobut what goes on in the world or the neighborhood. To me it is better to be outraged,,and say enough is enough and get people to understand that we do not need machine guns to hunt for food, we do not need automatic weapons to hunt for food and forage for berries. We dont even need knives cause the majority of us eat out more than we eat at home and the restaraunt provides them..
And gun control wont solve a thing..what will stop this violence is SELF Control, something that we have been told by madison avenue, wall street and every major corporation we dont need which is why the economy is in the mess it is in.
Till humans stand up and say heck no, i am not buying it, i dont need it,,,we will not improve.......oh did i mention i saw this really beautiful fishtanks at a cheap price..I am picking it up tomorrow :)

having a 5 yo girl in the house, and hearing about the offenders erks me to no end. Reframer, there is no way i can treat a sex offender. i may be cold hearted, but if your someone like that, you deserve the worst. and about the other stuff going one, killing people, childern or anyone anywhere.... some wonder why i carry everywhere I go. LFS, supermarket, gas station, even the race track, even in the public aquariums. I get asked why, easy watch the news for 30 minutes. my father, grandfather, and I always carry, as do most of our friends or family.
