Any one used landscaping gravel 1/4" to 1/2" from Home Depot/Lowes? Or is there a PH problem with this?

You'll want to test it with vinegar--if it fizzes, the rock will raise pH. Most gravel should be fine, you'll just want to clean it well.

The vinegar test will work on most rocks. I've seen some people also try putting the rocks into a bucket of water for 24 - 48 hours and plotting the pH to see if it changes. I agree with Onion :), I mean Orion, that you'll need to rinse these really well to get all the rock dust of them and to make sure that they're clean.
