So I am SICK at the moment. After getting off work and checking out the forum I did my routine check of my tanks and too my astonishment my boa is gone:eek3: I recently moved him from a 30 gallon to a 50 long and THOUGHT the screen lid was secure, I even put some heavy objects on top just to be safe. Welp guess what it apparently wasn't that secure. You wouldn't think it would be that hard to find a 4.5 foot boa but guess what IT IS. I have spent the last few hour tearing my house to shreds, I mean it is still a wreck and I don't even care. I have gone form fright to anger to tears and back again. I don't know what else to do. He appareltly had not been out that long because he had gone to the bathroom and it was still VERY moist which means he had made his great escape not long before I noticed he was gone. I have opened the windows in the room his tank is located in set up a heat pad and heat lamp put a mouse in a wire cage under the heat lamp and scattered the bedding from the mouse cage all over the room in hopes of luring him out with heat and food. I know he is hungry since usually the day he poopies I feed him and to be quite honest I am scared he may just get one of my cats. MAN-OH-MAN am I tortured over this. I am crossing my fingers that he is attracted to the food and warmth.

did you check near your dryer?

Still no sign of him I have searched every nook and cranny of this house and my trap did not work. I tossed and turned all night long and have been up this morning looking for him again. OMG I AM SICK!!!! I feel like such an irresponsible pet owner but @#$% it I did, I thought, everything to prevent this from happening. I am still not giving up hope though that he wil turn up. I am hoping he is just scared and curled up in a corner somewhere and will come out when he gets cold or hungry enough.

No doors or windows were open but I am a bit worried he may have gotten into one of the heating registers although I don't really see how he could have done that. I have ran through every possible scenario in my head and I can't see how he is not still in the house. My cats apparently have not spotted him as of yet either because they for sure would let me know:) Thank god both have been declawed, not a practice I like but I digress. I am worried though that he may get to one of them before they have a chance to react he isn't large enough to eat them but he is large enough to kill them.

gosh this is aweful. I really hope that your snake shows up. Let us know what happens, please.
