Hello everyone!
Every now and then I have noticed that my mysteries will go to the surface and stick their breather tubes out of the water a bit and then start "pumping". I was wondering if this was normal, I've never heard anyone else talk about it so I was just wondering. Is there anything I should be concerned about? The tank gets plenty oxygen in the water, I have plants in there, and there is a good amount of surface aggitation. Also all my parameters are fine and dandy. In fact to be specific, ammo= 0ppm, nitrites=0ppm, and nitrates=0ppm, yes the tank is cycled, I have a decent amount of plants which is why I think my nitrates have gone down to 0. Do snails sometimes need atmospheric oxygen too? This is just something I have been wondering about.
Thanks!
