Anyone have any tips on stopping hair algae on flame moss. I use co2 and ferts, lighting is about 7 hours a day. I have controlled it on everything else but its still on my flame moss, and i cant necessarily remove it without loosing all of my flame moss. Thanks for any responses.

excel dip might be your best bet.

you can inject excel into the tank and spot treat it but if you took it out and used a higher percent in a bucked that would kill it faster. not sure about spraying it.

Another option to try would be using a toothbrush to brush over the moss. This is supposed to pull out the hair algae, while the moss strands slide right through. You'll still have to keep watch to make sure it the algae doesn't return. (And keep that toothbrush away from your bathroom sink so you don't forget what you've done with it. lol.) If that doesn't resolve this, try spot treating the remaining algae strands with excel for about 10 days. You should see it disappear by then without causing any harm to the moss.
