hello, i plan on getting one of those nano cubes for our snails...(3 mystery)(i have a angelfish that wont let them alone.)(so they are getting a new home)
also, i plan on geting some invertebrates from a breeder here on AC...

what sand or rock should i get?
i would like some of the lighter white type sand is that good?

I guess it depends on what you like. I have several invert only tanks. They seem to like it all. I have used the black sand with river stones and also play sand in a few of my tanks. The play sand is wicked cheap and as long as it is rinsed well should cause any issues. I think my shrimp prefer it to the expensive black sand :( my cory cats love it and my crayfish love to dig and burrow so it's been a hit with them as well.

I love sand and river stones in a planted tank nothing beats it.

Yes, I got a 50lb bag for less than $5...I think it was like $3.88? Make sure it doesn't have any added chemicals in it but most of it's child safe. Just rinse rinse rinse and repeat.

I have the black sand in one tank and play sand in another. there's a definite different in grain between the two. it also seem like my MTS like burrowing in the black sand more than the playsand.

We used crushed coral for our snail tank. the MTS burrow in it and the apple snails kinda dig in it as well.
